Social distancing is hard on everyone. Here are some tips to navigate our new normal. Even as certain states and countries look to loosen confinement measures, it is clear that the COVID-19 pandemic will change the way we socialize for the foreseeable future. 

Featured tip: Protect your calendar

Out of the many tips shared, the one I’ve been putting into practice more recently is to protect my calendar. While people have more flexibility around their schedules and lives, it doesn’t mean time is limitless. Being able to limit your yesses is crucial to your mental health and life boundaries. You can’t have it all, and ultimately, it’s not just about working from home nor living in a virtual world. It’s the fact that we are living in a pandemic.

As Wharton welcomes back its students this September, the MBA program is forced to think outside the box. Students - especially extroverts - have to envision a new way normal. Much of what makes an MBA appealing besides the job opportunities and business learnings is the social aspect. Making important connections and long-term friendships, marriages and other partnerships is why many decide on pursuing the opportunity.
